After my husbands mom died, I guess about a month or so, we moved from Galveston to San Angelo, we were staying
with my brother and his wife for a while. we arrived there late. We were all in the living room when we heard a
noise like something fell in the kitchen, we go look and a coffee cup fell from inside a cabinet and fell on the
floor. My sister-in-law said that's just mother trying to get our attention, and my husband who can't sleep at night saw a
chair move away from the kitcken table. This was in 2002 or 2003. scary huh.

The Trunk
This story was told to me by my husband, Theres a house in
Galveston that was build in the 1800, The person who bought the house found a trunk in the attic. He moved the trunk downstairs, When he got up the next morning, he noticed the trunk was gone from
where he put it, He looked all through the house, he could not find it. He found it up in the attic again, So he got six friends
(One was my husband)to help him move it back downstairs. They tried to take turns watching the trunk but some reason they
all fell asleep. The next day the trunk was back up in the attic, No one moved it. So he decided to leave it there . He didn't
want to affend the spirit or whatever it was in the attic. spooky,

This one belongs to my friend Belle. This is her story.

San Angelo - Angelo State University - Girls High Rise Dorm - 9th Floor - Ninth floor of the girls high rise dorm is
haunted by a college student who was killed in April 1978. She is a very nice ghost.
San Angelo - Angelo State University - The Housing Office - is haunted by the spirit of a young co-ed who was murdered
there in the 1970's by an ROTC cadet. He apparently was infatuated with her and went into a murderous rage when she refused
his advances.
San Angelo - Santa Rita Park - A woman named Marie, who apparently used to reside in the Santa Rita area and frequently
walk in the park, still hangs around the park, just to the left of Santa Rita elementary. She died without much family. Stray
dogs tend to roam the park at night, whether they are looking for food or a place to sleep, and their behavior is very peculiar
- jumping up in the air, excitable, running to and fro, barking in a direction where no one or nothing can be seen. Marie
seems to enjoy the dogs' company, and she tends to sit at the bench closest to the school - anyone who stands near or sits
on that bench at night is sure to feel a chill and a sense of restlessness. One will also find that looking into the creek
(which runs through the park) at night takes much courage, though nothing has reportedly been seen in the water.
San Angelo - Sun Set Mall - In one of the closets of the old Luby?s restaurant, you can hear two little kids playing
and talking.
San Angelo - Fort Concho - Many ghosts haunt this "best preserved" frontier army fort in America. The buffalo soldiers
were stationed here in the late 19th century for protection against Indian attacks. Many of them are still there along with
others. Officers Quarters' #1 still has a little girl upstairs who died of an illness. She can be seen from time to time.
Ask any employee for details. Conrad McClure, and employee and re-enactor have had many ghostly encounters there during his
career.
San Angelo - Fort Concho - It is haunted by many of the buffalo soldiers, a young girl playing on the floor in an upstairs
bedroom of Officer's Quarters #1 accompanied by cold spots.
San Angelo - Regan Elementry - It is haunted by 2 chearleaders in the girls bathroom.they were brutily killed one had
their heads cut off and the other hung. Female janitors conserned yet scared run out screaming.

#1 Fort Concho
Lived one block from fort concho, saw many strange occurences , have eyewitnesses. I saw the apparition of a soldier on
more than one ocassion. Others saw the same apparition. This was no foggy or distorted apparition, seemed to be a real human
being. I would like to contribute my story and would like to know if maybe current residence of this home have seen the same.
#2
Continued from above.
one night about 4 of us were out on the porch talking, when i heard the doorbell, i asked the others if they had heard
it. they did. we all looked towards the front door and could atually see the doorbell light bilnking on and off. we heard
it ring 4 more times. other was one person inside the house, who came outside yelling at us to stop playing with the door
bell. it was not us! my wristwatch always seemed to be missing, never where i had left it. it always ended up in the bathroom
cabinets.
i did try to record noises and i swear i heard a voice saying, "help me", we could also hear doors slamming & feet
marching. unfortunately, i have moved many times and lost this tape.

The Little Girl of Fort Concho
In August of 1997, I was helping a friend deliver some things for a post-funeral reception that was to be held in the
Officers' Quarters Number One, at Fort Concho, in San Angelo, Texas. Fort Concho is the best-preserved and reconstructed
cavalry fort in America. This is where the buffalo soldiers were stationed. It was very early in the morning,
and we had to get the key to the building from the curator. We drove to the other side of the parade ground and parked
the van. We went inside and I took some things up the staircase to the second floor, while my buddy worked on the first
floor. I walked into the west bedroom upstairs and immediately felt like I had just walked between two people that were
standing shoulder to shoulder. I was walking into a tremendous field of static electricity. I had a cold sensation,
and the hairs on my neck and arms stood straight out. I put the vase down that I was carrying and found myself compelled
to say, "Excuse me." Then I proceeded to the east bedroom. When I entered the room, I
saw a little girl out of the corner of my eye, playing on the floor to my left. I placed the vase and when I turned
around, she faded away. A couple of days later I was again with my friend and we stopped by the house of the lady
who was responsible for financing the restoration of Officers' Quarters Number One. My friend mentioned that I had felt
a presence and saw a little girl. I told her that I had seen her in the east bedroom and she told me that a little girl
had died in that very room. Maybe it was her parents that I felt in the west bedroom, or just someone else watching
over her. A few months later, I had the opportunity to stop by Officers' Quarters Number One when it was open to
the public. I was walking around and a staff volunteer came up and asked me what I thought of the building. I
told her I thought it was haunted, and repeated the story of the little girl. The lady took me into the dining room
and pointed to a portrait on the wall. It was the same little girl I had seen upstairs.
